History
Since our debut as a duo in 1996 at the Caffe Lena Folkathon, we have performed at numerous types of events and at cafes and clubs primarily in the Capital District area of New York State.  However, we have performed in Belmont Racetrack for the New York Thoroughbred Breeders and at private parties in Queens, Massachusetts and even Colorado! Over the years we've participated in Telethons to raise money for the SPCA, Prospect Child Center, Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra and have performed "live" on Vermont radio.

Alan:  I'm the songwriter of the duo, and have written songs since age 13. Over the years, I have had over 30 songs published by 4 publishing houses. Our recording of my song, "My Eyes Are Closed", was used in 1998 in a TV movie "Someone To Love Me: A Moment of Truth Movie". The movie was initially aired on network tv and then on Lifetime, and continues to be aired not only in the United States, but other countries as well.
I'm a native of western Maine and I own and operate Lylac Studios, located in South Glens Falls (
www.lylacstudios.com) for recording area recording musicians.
Liz: I am originally from Long Island, and have lived in the area for many years. I've always loved to sing, especially loudly in my car!
Not only have I recorded music for our own cds, I have contributed my voice to other musician's recordings, including
Peter Burrall and Neal Herr.
Also, I have sung some of Alan's songs that have not (yet) appeared on any of our cds, such as
"Things I Have Seen" (click on title to hear), which was written about September 11th.. The song was then published by DSM Producers.
